Huggie Bears Family Child Care is an Ofsted Registered early years Childminding setting situated on the borders of Southfields, Putney and Wandsworth area of South West London.
Huggie Bears Family Childcare registered with Ofsted in 2012 and provides a quality early years education and care service in a homely environment where all children are welcomed and valued.
We offer excellence in early years education and care with organised, safe stimulating play and learning for children aged from six weeks to 5 years old inclusive.
Our interior is designed in a bright, attractive, clean, warm and welcoming environment, to make everyone feel comfortable and at home. Our furniture and equipment have been carefully chosen to be of high quality and age appropriate, allowing children to learn through the freedom of play with the importance of safety in mind. Our outside area has been fully designed with our ethos ‘childcare in harmony with nature’ and equipped to allow the children the freedom to play, using a mixture of imagination and physical dexterity.
Children are offered a wide range of activities, both outdoor and indoor, using a variety of materials and resources in a safe secure environment. Providing a well-balanced diet, we promote healthy eating and exercise daily. We encourage the development of social, emotional and physical needs of all children, working closely with parents to provide a level of care that meets the highest of standards – building a trusting and confident relationship from the very first day.
Qualifications & Experience
Huggie Bears Family Childcare is led and managed by a Graduate Level 6 in Early Years Education and Care. Having worked in early years since 1998 with experience spanning no less than three countries – England, Ireland and Germany. Additionally qualified as a Montessori teacher, Forest School leader as well as holder of a specialist qualification in supporting Children’s Early Communication and Language Development among other qualifications including the N.N.E.B. qualification. Whilst as a pre-requisite Paediatric First Aid which is renewed every three years, together with Designated Safeguarding Lead and Food Hygiene certification.
My professional knowledge and experience allow me to provide the best a nursery can offer within a more relaxed and homely environment. With a focus on Early Years learning and care for children under five years old.
