Ofsted (Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills)
OFSTED is the government body that inspects and regulates services that care for children and young people, and services providing education and skills for learners of all ages, including Day Nurseries and Childminders.
Our recent Ofsted inspection was carried out under the new, more stringent OFSTED Framework for Inspections that has been in place since September 2015.
The setting has been given a grade for ‘Overall Effectiveness’ as well as grades across the four areas of:
- Effectiveness of leadership and management
- Quality of teaching, learning and assessment
- Personal development, behaviour and welfare
- Outcomes for Children
The grades that can be awarded are Outstanding (1), Good (2), Requires Improvement (3) or Inadequate (4). Requires Improvement replaces the previous grading of ‘Satisfactory’ in this new framework.
We are pleased to inform you that Huggie Bears Family Childcare has achieved Outstanding, in this new more stringent framework in all areas, thus achieving an overall grade of Outstanding (Grade 1).
